Celebrating its 11th year, the Message Sticks Indigenous Film Festival returns with more remarkable storytelling. This year’s festival focuses on a new crop of Indigenous filmmakers from Australia and abroad showcasing the great diversity of Indigenous culture and artists. The Festival will tour the country with screenings in Canberra, Adelaide, Townsville, Broome, Perth, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Melbourne and Mt Isa.
Highlights of the festival include a heartfelt documentary about a new era of courageous champions in Boxing for Palm Island, a short drama - Daniel’s 21st staring Deborah Mailman, and shorts from the nations that lead Indigenous filmmaking globally; Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA.
All films are free!
